
MoPla was founded four years ago with the aim of establishing an intermodal mobility platform. Initially, the focus was primarily on making mobility in rural areas more digital, efficient, and accessible. A lot has happened since then. Today, we connect various transport services with each other and support local authorities, transport companies, and users alike.
In recent years, MoPla has developed a platform that allows on-demand bus services, dial-a-ride services, and school transport to be digitally mapped and controlled. The system has been expanded to include other forms of mobility such as rental cars, taxis, and limousine services, which can be integrated directly into the platform. Booking, timetable information, ticketing, and payment are all combined in a single system, significantly improving the user experience.
The development of mopla proceeded step by step. It began with "mopla smart durchs land" (mopla smart across the country), which aimed to make mobility in rural areas more accessible digitally. The offering was then expanded to include "mopla ticketing," followed later by "mopla myway," a flexible, bookable mobility offering. Finally, the "mopla logistik" (mopla logistics) division was added. Today, all of this is united under the "mopla bewegt" brand.
Parallel to technical developments, consulting expertise has also grown. mopla supports municipalities, transport companies, and partners from the initial concept idea through strategy to the implementation of digital mobility solutions. These include ticket and sales systems, new forms of on-demand transport services, and the integration of additional services such as logistics to make better use of existing capacities.
New approaches have also been taken in communication in recent years. Numerous online and out-of-home campaigns and commercials have helped to raise awareness of the mopla brand and explain digital mobility in an understandable way. A particular highlight was the large SIDO x mopla Open Air 2025 event, which attracted over 10,000 visitors, as well as other integrations at major events where mobility and the brand could be experienced firsthand.
Today, mopla stands for connected, flexible, and sustainable mobility that is consistently geared toward the needs of users, municipalities, and transport companies. The platform is continuously being developed and expanded with new features and services.
Four years of mopla mean four years of growth, many successful projects, and numerous new partnerships. We are proud of this. At the same time, we see the past years as a beginning and look forward to everything that is yet to come.
