Lüchow-Schmarsauer Eisenbahn GmbH (LSE), together with its digitalization partner MoPla Solutions GmbH, is expanding digital ticket sales in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district. From October 1, 2026, passengers will be able to purchase standard public transport tickets for the regional fare system digitally via the new ticket shop.
With the launch of the expanded ticket shop, the existing collaboration between LSE and mopla is being consistently extended. The newly digitized ticket offerings include single tickets as well as monthly and annual passes. This provides passengers with a central digital access point to LSE's ticket offerings.
Customers benefit from a simple and seamless digital purchasing process. Tickets can be conveniently selected, purchased, and delivered digitally via the mopla app or the mopla web app. For many ticket products, a visit to a sales outlet is therefore no longer necessary.
For LSE, this expansion represents another important step in the digitalization of regional public transport. Instead of maintaining separate sales solutions for different products, traditional local transport tickets can now be sold via a shared digital infrastructure. At the same time, the service remains flexibly expandable and creates the technical foundation for further digital mobility services.
The new ticket shop combines the advantages of modern digital sales with LSE's regional roots. Passengers gain easy access to tickets that suit their mobility needs, while LSE expands its digital sales and strengthens customer engagement through an additional, contemporary sales channel.
“With the new ticket shop, we are creating significantly easier digital access to our ticket offerings for our passengers. Together with mopla, we are taking the next logical step in the digitalization of our sales,” explains Sarah Frahm, Managing Director of LSE.
The launch of the full ticket shop is also an important milestone for mopla. The platform enables transport companies to offer different fare products via a shared digital sales infrastructure. In addition to ticketing, other mobility services such as on-demand transport or flexible school transport can be integrated into the platform in the future .
“Our aim is not just to provide transport companies with a single digital sales channel, but an infrastructure that allows them to easily and efficiently meet all their mobility needs. Together with LSE, we are demonstrating how regional fares and other mobility services can be gradually integrated onto a single platform,” explains Richard Schmidt, advisor to the management of mopla.
The digital ticket shop will be available from October 1, 2026, via the mopla app and the mopla web app. The mopla app is available in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store and offers intuitive user guidance. Customers can select their desired ticket and purchase it directly online.
Various digital payment methods are available, including credit card, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Klarna. Purchased digital tickets are then immediately available in the app or mopla web app and can be presented digitally during ticket inspection.
